This antique scrap eagle - bearing an American flag, olive branch, and arrows - is displayed on an antique unsilvered patriotic single-balloon ornament embellished with vintage Dresden paper, patriotic ribbon and elegant antique metallic fabric swag fringe. The bald eagle - representing long life, valor and majestic beauty - was chosen in 1782 as the emblem for the United States by Thomas Jefferson. HANDMADE AND SIGNED BY GLENN GIAIMO.
