Susan is particularly fond of Fairie folk, and when we found this beautiful antique die-cut, we knew it was for her! Very early Pre-1900s unsilvered glass flower is frosted with early vintage mica flakes. As the flower "spoke to us", we added layer upon layer of antique silk chenille, detailed dainty Dresden paper trims, gold stars, and vintage rhinestones. On the fairy's bodice is a tiny silk velvet daisy. A tiny border of antique scrap forget-me-nots backed to rose-pink chenille rims the top of the flower to frame our fairy. The handle is made with early vintage spun-glass garland, and the bottom of flower is finished off with pale aqua antique silk fringe and early vintage glass pinecone bead. Handmade and signed by Gail Giaimo.
